At Brian Head 13.2% of winter days see 6 inches or more of snow, 15% of winter months see 90 inches or more, and 18% of months see less than 30 inches. This is above average snow frequency for North American ski areas. Brian Head's snow quality is comparable to other Utah areas.

Accumulation and Preservation

Brian Head averages 79% open at Christmas with about 15% of seasons being less than half open by Christmas. Brian Head's very high elevation range of 9,600 - 11,300 feet contributes to very good snow preservation. Most runs face east or west, so melt/freeze conditions can develop in March if it hasn't snowed recently.
