Sundance has no detail snow data, so we estimate 275 inches snowfall based upon the Utah local opinion that Sundance snowfall is among the lowest in the Wasatch. However, powder is far less competitive than at more famous Utah areas.

Accumulation and Preservation

Sundance’s early season accumulation should be about average for western destinations. Primary exposure is north, but elevation range of 6,100 – 8,200 feet is the lowest in Utah, so melt/freeze conditions are likely in March if it has not snowed recently. Sundance like many resorts has its most reliable snow conditions from mid-January to mid-March.
