A few words on the Snow at Pine Mountain Resort

Pine Mt. has no detail snow data, but we accept the published average of 75 inches snowfall, due to its location on the Wisconsin/upper Michigan border.

Accumulation and Preservation

Pine Mountain's cold climate facilitates early season snowmaking. Rain is less frequent than in the Northeast and rarely as intense. The limited acreage can be more easily restored with snowmaking and grooming than at larger and steeper areas in the Northeast. Relatively flat Midwest ski terrain will routinely melt/freeze in warm weather or March sun.
