A few words on the Snow at Apex Mountain Resort
Apex has no detail snow data, but we accept the published average of 228 inches snowfall, in line with its reputation for slightly lower snowfall than the other Okanagan ski areas. Topography is excellent for powder skiing with numerous steep runs strung out over a long upper ridgeline.
Accumulation and PreservationApex early season accumulation should be slower than average for western areas due to modest snowfall and steeper than average terrain. Apex is the only Okanagan area with predominantly north exposure, so it has the best snow preservation in the region. Apex is usually best skied in February and March.
